Building Codes

The New Hampshire Building Code Review Board adopted the NH State Building Code to include the 2009 editions of the International Codes as published by the International Code Council. International Building Code 2009 (IBC), International Residental Code 2009 (IRC), the International Plumbing Code 2009 (IPC), the International Mechanical Code 2009 (IMC), the International Energy Conservation Code 2009 IECC(amended to 2012 IECC Zone 6 by Durham ordinance), and the National Electrical Code 2011 (NEC).

The bill was supported by the New Hampshire Building Officials Association and the New Hampshire Home Builders Association.  Now Builders and all remodeling contractors will be able to use the same code throughout the state.
